Dreamy Countryside Wedding: A Tipi garden wedding in the heart of the East Midlands

Weddings come in many shapes and sizes, but there's something uniquely magical about a countryside celebration that brings together the beauty of nature, family traditions, and heartfelt love. Rebecca and Richardā€™s wedding was a picture-perfect day, unfolding in the breathtaking corner of the countryside. It all began with a beautiful ceremony at a church that held deep personal meaning to the brideā€™s family, followed by a stunning reception at her parents' farm, transformed into an elegant tipi setting.

Rebeccaā€™s dress was absolutely stunning, a bespoke designed dress made to fit in with the South African theme of the wedding day (where the groom is originally from, and where the couple met). In particular the theme was that of South African birds, which is a shared interest for both the bride and the groom. The feather dress was a personal touch to fit in with their day!

As guests made their way to the reception, a short drive through winding country lanes led them to the brideā€™s parentsā€™ farm,  it was hard to miss the gorgeous tipi staged centrally in the lush meadows on the clear summerā€™s day, making it the perfect, unique setting for a wedding celebration.

The marquee was nothing short of enchanting. The giant white structure was transformed into an elegant oasis, with twinkling fairy lights draped across the ceiling, creating a soft, romantic glow. A cascade of wild flowers hung from the beams, while long wooden tables were decorated with hand-lettered leaves, and hand drawings of African birds fitting in with the personal theme of the entire day.

A surprise arrived for the groom and the guests in the form of African dancers, entertaining everyone during the drinks reception, and kicking off the dance floor in epic style! The day will forever be remembered as a perfect fusion of tradition, family, and the breathtaking beauty of the countryside.

For those dreaming of a wedding that combines timeless elegance with a rustic, personal touch, this kind of celebration is a beautiful reminder of the power of nature, family, and love.
